The second half started all good for Nottingham Forest, following a goal from Michael Rose in minute 53 to hand victory to the visitors.

For Coventry, Michael Rose, Julien Da Costa, Amadou Bakayoko and Wesley Jobello came on for Sammy Ameobi, Cafu, Lewis Grabban and Filip Krovinovic, while Nottingham replaced Sammy Ameobi, Cafu, Lewis Grabban and Filip Krovinovic for Luke Freeman, Jack Colback, Glenn Murray and Tyler Blackett.
