Millwall beat Bristol City with a thumping 1-0 victory on Wednesday at the Den. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Millwall arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest. Bristol, on the other hand, were unable to beat Fulham in a 1-1 draw. As things stand, Millwall are currently 13th with 12 points from 10 matches, while Bristol sit in 9th, with 13 points from 10.
After an un-eventful first half, Millwall piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Jed Wallace giving The Lions the lead in the 64th minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Both coaches used allfull available substitutions. For Millwall, Jed Wallace, Billy Mitchell and Jake Cooper, came on for Matt Smith, Sheyi Ojo and Scott Malone, Bristol brought on Cameron Pring, Callum O’Dowda and Kasey Palmer to replace Nathan Baker, Jay Dasilva and Joe Williams.
There were bookings for Danny McNamara from Millwall, and Joe Williams and Robert Atkinson, for Bristol.
