Hull City fell to a home defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers at Mkm Stadium on Saturday. Hull City had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 4-1 victory against Preston North End whilst QPR are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Hull City are in 10th place on the table and has 3 points while QPR sit in 1st with 4 points after 2 matches.
Rangers started strongly in the first half, with Chris Willock opening the rout at the 16 minute mark and seeing the first half out 0-1.
QPR continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Lyndon Dykes, at 68 minutes. QPR then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Rob Dickie in the 74th minute with a final score of 3-0.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Hull City, Matt Smith, Randell Williams and Josh Emmanuel, came on for Ryan Longman, Richard Smallwood and Lewie Coyle, QPR brought on Andre Dozzell, Charlie Kelman and George Thomas, to replace Ilias Chair, Lyndon Dykes and Stefan Johansen.
George Moncur saw the red card, for Hull City.
Hull City will next play Derby County at home, with QPR facing Middlesbrough away.
