Hull City enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Middlesbrough at Mkm Stadium on Saturday. Hull City arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Blackpool in their previous game. Boro were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Sheffield United. As the table looks today, Hull City and Boro currently occupy 21st and 15th spots in the table, with 9 points and 12 points respectively after 11 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Hull City piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Joe Lumley, 81 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Mallik Wilks just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-0.
For Hull City, Sean McLoughlin, Greg Docherty and Mallik Wilks, came on for Alfie Jones, George Moncur and Tyler Smith. Boro brought on Uche Ikpeazu and Isaiah Jones, to replace Duncan Watmore and Marc Bola.
