Hull City were held to 1-1 draw by Blackpool down on Tuesday at Mkm Stadium. Hull City were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-0 to Stoke City while Blackpool were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Barnsley and Middlesbrough. After today’s result, Hull City are in 22nd place, with 6 points from 10 matches, while Blackpool sit in 14th, with 12 points from 10.
Blackpool started the game well, thanks to Shayne Lavery finding the net just before half-time, seeing out the first half 0-1.
Hull City took the lead in the second half, with Tom Eaves finding the net at the 84 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-1.
Hull City brought on Tyler Smith, Tom Eaves and Di’Shon Bernard for Ryan Longman, Andy Cannon and George Moncur. Blackpool brought on Josh Bowler, Jerry Yates and Tyreece John-Jules, to replace Demetri Mitchell, Gary Madine and Shayne Lavery.
The referee booked five players. Mallik Wilks and Lewie Coyle from Hull City, who saw yellow cards and Lewie Coyle (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for Blackpool Luke Garbutt and Shayne Lavery also seeing yellows.
Hull City next face Middlesbrough and Blackpool are at home to Blackburn Rovers.
