Huddersfield Town take the points and enjoy a home win against Bristol City

On Tuesday, Huddersfield Town suffer an away defeat to Bristol at Ashton Gate. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Bristol City were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 2-0 to Norwich City. Huddersfield Town had lost their previous match against Millwall. As things stand, Bristol City are in 8th place on the table and has 39 points while Huddersfield Town sit in 14th with 31 points after 26 matches.

Bristol City started strongly in the first half, beginning with Famara Diedhiou opening the scoring in the 23rd minute. Later, Bristol City scored again and increased their advantage thanks to another goal from Famara Diedhiou, scoring his second goal in the 27th minute to see out the first half 2-0.

Huddersfield Town took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Juninho Bacuna opening the scoring, 59 minutes in. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for Bristol City.

Bristol City brought on Jack Hunt, Chris Martin, Adam Nagy and Taylor Moore for Tommy Rowe, Famara Diedhiou, Nahki Wells and Kasey Palmer. Huddersfield Town brought on Alex Pritchard and Kieran Phillips, to replace Alex Vallejo and Rolando Aarons.

There were bookings for Famara Diedhiou, Zak Vyner and Adam Nagy from Bristol and Pipa and Juninho Bacuna for Huddersfield Town.

Bristol City will next travel to Derby County, while Huddersfield Town will face Stoke City at home.
