Huddersfield were held to 1-1 draw by Brentford down on Saturday at John Smith’s Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Huddersfield wanted to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday. Brentford, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Nottingham Forest. As it stands, Huddersfield are currently 18th with 43 points from 39 matches, while Brentford sit in 3rd, with 69 points from 39.

It was an impressive opening from Huddersfield, with Lewis O’Brien giving The Terriers the lead early in the first half to see out the first half 1-0.

Brentford staged a comeback in the second half, thanks to an early goal from Mads Bech Sorensen in the 50th minute. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

For Huddersfield, Juninho Bacuna, Richard Stearman, Aaron Rowe and Danny Ward, came on for Vitaly Janelt, Sergi Canos, Saman Ghoddos and Bryan Mbeumo. Brentford brought on Mathias Jensen, Tarique Fosu, Emiliano Marcondes and Marcus Forss, to replace Vitaly Janelt, Sergi Canos, Saman Ghoddos and Bryan Mbeumo.

There were bookings for Duane Holmes, Jonathan Hogg, Ryan Schofield and Lewis O’Brien from Huddersfield, and Bryan Mbeumo, for Brentford.

Huddersfield will next travel to Norwich City, while Brentford will face Birmingham City at home.
