Coventry City 6-1 Millwall – Coventry City cruise to win against Millwall in a 6-1 victory at St Andrew’s Stadium

Coventry City secures a 6-1 win against Millwall at St Andrew’s Stadium on Saturday. Coventry wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town. Millwall were looking to extend their winning run after a 4-1 victory against Bristol City. This left, Coventry are in 16th place on the table and has 55 points while Millwall sit in 11th with 62 points after 46 matches.

Coventry started the game well, with Jordan Shipley opening the rout, 16 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Kyle McFadzean just before half-time. The first half ended 2-0.

The Lions staged a comeback in the second half, with a goal from Kyle McFadzeanclaimed this second of the game at the 54 minute mark. The Sky Blues extended the margin thanks to a goal from Dominic Hyam at the 60 minute mark. The momentum was now with The Sky Blues, who then scored again through a goal from Callum O`Hare, 62 minutes in to establish a 4-1. Coventry looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Matty James at the 67 minute mark to establish a 5-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Tyler Walker in the 84th minute with a final score of 6-1.

For Coventry, Josh Eccles, Jack Burroughs, Maxime Biamou, Tyler Walker and Ben Sheaf, came on for Fankaty Dabo, Gustavo Hamer, Viktor Gyokeres, Jordan Shipley and Michael Rose. Millwall brought on Shaun Williams, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Connor Mahoney, Tyler Burey and Ben Thompson, to replace Billy Mitchell, Danny McNamara, Mason Bennett, Tom Bradshaw and Ryan Woods.

There were bookings for Kyle McFadzean from Coventry. For Millwall, Danny McNamara, George Evans and Ryan Woods saw yellow.
