Coventry on home loss to Preston North End at St Andrew’s Stadium on Saturday. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Coventry were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Stoke City away and Barnsley at home, by 3-2 and 2-0 respectively. North End were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-0 victory against Derby County. After an un-eventful first half, North End continued to pile on the pressure in the second, with Alan Browne finding the net in the 67th minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.

There were bookings for Gustavo Hamer, Fankaty Dabo and Kyle McFadzean from Coventry, and Ryan Ledson and Ched Evans, for North End.
Coventry will next travel to Huddersfield Town, while North End will face Barnsley at home.
