Reading enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. Both Cardiff and Reading arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Cardiff arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 4-0 to West Bromwich Albion. Reading lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Derby County. As the table looks today, Cardiff and Reading currently occupy 20th and 10th spots in the table, with 11 points and 16 points respectively after 11 matches.

The Royals started strong and were rewarded, thanks to Junior Hoilett giving Reading the lead in the 38th minute, seeing out the first half 0-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Cardiff, Rubin Colwill, Will Vaulks and James Collins, came on for Leandro Bacuna, Joe Ralls and Sam Bowen. Reading brought on Scott Dann and Jahmari Clarke, to replace George Puscas and Andy Yiadom.

The referee booked Marlon Pack, Joe Ralls, James Collins and Mark McGuinness for Cardiff.
