Cardiff 0 – Bournemouth 1- The Bluebirds suffer home loss to The Cherries

Bournemouth eased past Cardiff City in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 1-0 to Coventry City while Bournemouth were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Queens Park Rangers and Barnsley. As it stands, Cardiff and Bournemouth are 10th, (11 points) and 1st, (18 points), in the league respectively, after 8 matches.

After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Cherries who started the second half well, with Philip Billing finding the net at the 54 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Cardiff, James Collins, Rubin Colwill and Joel Bagan, came on for Mark Thomas Harris, Tom Sang and Ciaron Brown, Bournemouth brought on Morgan Rogers, Jamal Lowe and Chris Mepham, to replace Ryan Christie, Dominic Solanke and Jaidon Anthony.

There were bookings for Mark Thomas Harris, Curtis Nelson and Leandro Bacuna from Cardiff. For Bournemouth, Ryan Christie, Jefferson Lerma and Adam Smith saw yellow.

Cardiff will play away against Blackburn Rovers, while Bournemouth will face Luton Town at home.
