Cardiff City’s 2-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, was hard fought at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff wanted to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Brentford. Wycombe were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Bristol City. As things stand, Cardiff are in 10th place, with 61 points from 44 matches, while Wycombe sit in 24th, with 37 points from 44.
Cardiff started the first half well, thanks to Kieffer Moore giving The Bluebirds the lead at the 22 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Joe Jacobson equalised for Wycombe just before half-time. The score at half time was 1-1.
Cardiff rallied after this and were rewarded, with Kieffer Moore finding the net again, 71 minutes in. The game ended 2-1.
For Cardiff, Jordi Osei-Tutu, Jonathan Williams, Leandro Bacuna and Will Vaulks, came on for Dennis Adeniran, Admiral Muskwe, Jack Grimmer and Garath McCleary. The referee booked Curtis Nelson, Josh Murphy and Jonathan Williams from Cardiff and Will Vaulks went off with a red card, while Wycombe’s Curtis Thompson also received a yellow.
