Cardiff were defeated at home by Nottingham Forest at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday. Cardiff were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Forest, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Cardiff and Forest currently occupy 8th and 17th spots in the table, with 58 points and 42 points respectively after 39 matches.

Forest opened the score, with a goal from James Garner at the 29 minute mark, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Cardiff, Jonathan Williams, Josh Murphy and Sheyi Ojo, came on for Joe Ralls, Harry Wilson and Leandro Bacuna. Forest brought on Lyle Taylor, to replace Lewis Grabban.

There were bookings for Marlon Pack and Ciaron Brown from Cardiff, and Cyrus Christie and Lewis Grabban, for Forest.

Cardiff will next play Sheffield Wednesday away, with Forest facing Queens Park Rangers at home.
