Brentford 1-1 Cardiff City – The Bees draw with Cardiff 1-1 at Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford were held to 1-1 draw by Cardiff down on Tuesday at Brentford Community Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Brentford arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Millwall in their previous game whilst Cardiff had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Reading. After today’s result, Brentford and Cardiff currently occupy 4th and 8th spots in the league, with 75 points and 61 points respectively after 43 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Cardiff took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Kieffer Moore, 57 minutes in. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Tarique Fosu equalised for Brentford, 63 minutes in. The final result, Brentford 1, Cardiff 1.

For Brentford, Sergi Canos, Saman Ghoddos, Emiliano Marcondes and Charlie Goode, came on for Harry Wilson, Marlon Pack, Kieffer Moore, Perry Ng and Tom Sang. Cardiff brought on Leandro Bacuna, Sheyi Ojo, Josh Murphy, Jordi Osei-Tutu and Jonathan Williams, to replace Harry Wilson, Marlon Pack, Kieffer Moore, Perry Ng and Tom Sang.

The referee booked Tarique Fosu and Sergi Canos for Brentford.

Brentford will next travel to Bournemouth, while Cardiff will face Wycombe Wanderers at home.
