Cardiff City enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Blackpool wanted to improve their league standing following a 1-1 draw with Bristol City in their previous game while Cardiff are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As it stands, Blackpool are currently 20th with 1 point from 2 matches, while Cardiff sit in 2nd, with 4 points from 2.
After an un-eventful first half, Cardiff certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to Leandro Bacuna giving The Bluebirds the lead at the 52 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Kieffer Moore made it 2-0 just before the final whistle to make it 2-0.
For Blackpool, Josh Bowler and Shayne Lavery, came on for CJ Hamilton and Tyreece John-Jules. Cardiff brought on Kieffer Moore and Will Vaulks for James Collins and Joe Ralls.
There were bookings for Richard Keogh from Blackpool, and Joel Bagan, for Cardiff.
Blackpool will next play Coventry City at home, with Cardiff facing Peterborough United away.
