Blackburn 1 – West Brom 2- The Baggies travel to Ewood Park and get victory

West Bromwich Albion eased past Blackburn Rovers in a 2-1 victory on Saturday at Ewood Park. Both Blackburn and West Brom arrived on the back of wins. Blackburn were looking to continue their run after winning last match while West Brom were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Sheffield United and Luton Town. As the table looks today, Blackburn are currently 8th with 7 points from 4 matches, while West Brom sit in 2nd, with 10 points from 4.

The Baggies dominated the first half, with an early goal from Alex Mowatt in the 1st minute. West Brom then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Matthew Phillips just before half-time to see out the first half 0-2.

Blackburn started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to a goal from Ben Brereton, 51 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Blackburn, Jacob Davenport, Tyrhys Dolan and Harry Chapman, came on for Leighton Clarkson, John Buckley and Joe Rothwell. West Brom brought on Semi Ajayi and Rayhaan Tulloch, to replace Matt Clarke and Karlan Grant.

There were bookings for Lewis Travis from Blackburn. For West Brom, Jake Livermore and Darnell Furlong saw yellow.

Next up, Blackburn are away to Middlesbrough, whilst West Brom will travel to face Peterborough United.
