Bournemouth beat Birmingham City with a thumping 2-0 victory on Wednesday at St Andrew’s Stadium. Birmingham wanted to continue adding points after a scoreless draw against Stoke City in their previous match. Bournemouth were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest. Following today’s result, Birmingham are in 14th place, with 4 points from 3 matches, while Bournemouth sit in 3rd, with 7 points from 3.
After an un-eventful first half, The Cherries continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Dominic Solanke, at 77 minutes. Bournemouth then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Jaidon Anthony just before the final whistle to make it 2-0.
For Birmingham, Chuks Aneke, Scott Hogan and Ivan Sanchez, came on for Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jonathan Leko and Tahith Chong. Bournemouth brought on Junior Stanislas and Ben for Emiliano Marcondes and Leif Davis.

Birmingham will next play Luton Town away, with Bournemouth facing Blackpool at home.
