Barnsley 0 – Millwall 1- The Tykes suffer home defeat to The Lions

Millwall beat Barnsley with a thumping 1-0 victory on Saturday at Oakwell Ground. Barnsley were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 3-1 to Nottingham Forest whilst Millwall were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Bristol City. As the table looks today, Barnsley are in 22nd place, with 8 points from 11 matches, while Millwall sit in 11th, with 15 points from 11.

After an un-eventful first half, Millwall continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Murray Wallace giving The Lions the lead just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-0.

Barnsley brought on Toby Sibbick, Victor Adeboyejo and Dominik Frieser for Romal Palmer, Devante Cole and Aaron Leya Iseka. Millwall brought on Tom Bradshaw, Billy Mitchell and Matt Smith, to replace Sheyi Ojo, George Evans and Benik Afobe.

There were bookings for Romal Palmer and Victor Adeboyejo from Barnsley. For Millwall, George Evans saw yellow.

Barnsley will play their next fixture away against Reading, while Millwall will face Luton Town at home.
