PSG 2 – Man City 0 – Cityzens suffer from the hands of Leo Messi

Paris Saint-Germain eased past Manchester City in a 2-0 victory on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes. PSG were looking for a victory following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in their previous game. Man City, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 6-3 victory against RB Leipzig. After today’s result, PSG and Man City currently occupy 1st and 3rd spots in the table, with 4 points and 3 points respectively after 2 matches.

Les Parisiens started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Idrissa Gueye finding the net, 8 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0.

PSG continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Lionel Messi, 74 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For PSG, Georginio Wijnaldum and Danilo Pereira, came on for Marco Verratti and Idrissa Gueye. Man City brought on Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus, to replace Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling.

There were bookings for Marco Verratti from PSG. For Man City, Joao Cancelo and Kevin De Bruyne saw yellow.

PSG will play at home against RB Leipzig, while Man City will face Club Brugge away.
