Champions League – Away win could prove crucial for PSG – going into 2nd leg at home to Barcelona

Barca failed to win against PSG in the match one-way of Champions League. After 90 minutes of play, the final result was 4-1. Barcelona was in 2nd place in the group stage and accumulated 15 points; the Parisians, for its part, occupied 1st position in group H with 12 points. After the match dispute PSG is in the lead over Barcelona, which will have the added difficulty of trying to ride away from home.

Barcelona started the game well, with a goal from Lionel Messi, 27 minutes in. However, their lead didn’t last for long, as an equalizer from a Kylian Mbappe, 32 minutes in brought PSG level, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-1.

PSG continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with Kylian Mbappe opening the scoring in the 65th minute. Later, PSG scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Moise Kean to make it 3-1. Later, PSG took the lead with a goal form a new goal from Kylian Mbappe, completing a hat trick in the 85th minute just before the final whistle, sealing a resounding 4-1 victory for the away side.

For Barcelona Oscar Mingueza, Trincao, Riqui Puig, Miralem Pjanic and Martin Braithwaite came on for Sergino Dest, Pedri, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Antoine Griezmann, while PSG brought on Ander Herrera, Julian Draxler, Danilo Pereira and Thilo Kehrer to replace Idrissa Gueye, Marco Verratti, Moise Kean and Alessandro Florenzi.

The referee booked Idrissa Gueye for PSG.

After the return match that will take place next 10 de March in the stadium PSG we will know who will move to the next stage of the European Championship.
