Brentford staged a comeback in the second half, beginning with early goal from Sergi Canos in the 50th minute. Later, Brentford scored again thanks to a new goal from Sergi Canos in the 65th minute to establish the 1-2. Later, Brentford scored again and increased their advantage thanks to another goal from Sergi Canos, completing a hat trick to make it 1-3. Cardiff City hit back thanks to a goal from Sean Morrison in minute 76 to establish the 2-3, which sealed the victory for the visitors.
