Freiburg snatched all three points from Stuttgart in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, at the Schwarzwald-Stadion. SC Freiburg were looking for a victory after a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. Stuttgart lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Arminia Bielefeld. As things stand, SC Freiburg are in 9th place, with 27 points from 18 matches, while Stuttgart sit in 10th, with 22 points from 18.
Stuttgart started the first half well, thanks to Silas Wamangituka opening the scoring after only 7 minutes. However, the good form didn’t last for long. An equalizer from a goal from Ermedin Demirovic in the 14th minute brought SC Freiburg level. Later, SC Freiburg scored again and turned the match thanks to a goal from Woo-yeong Jeong in the 37th minute. The score at half time was 2-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 2-1.
