Stuttgart were held to 1-1 draw by Hertha Berlin down on Saturday at the Mercedes Benz Arena. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Stuttgart arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha Berlin had lost their previous match against Bayern Munich. As the table looks today, Stuttgart are in 10th place on the table and has 26 points while Hertha Berlin sit in 15th with 18 points after 21 matches.

Stuttgart dominated the first half, following a goal from Sasa Kalajdzic just before half-time

Hertha Berlin took the lead in the second half, thanks to Luca Netz opening the scoring, 82 minutes in, levelled the score at 1-1 draw.

For Stuttgart Tanguy Coulibaly, Daniel Didavi, Alkhaly Momo Cisse and Mateo Klimowicz came on for Silas Wamangituka, Erik Thommy, Philipp Forster and Sasa Kalajdzic, while Hertha Berlin replaced Krzysztof Piatek, Santiago Ascacibar, Peter Pekarik and Maximilian Mittelstadt for Nemanja Radonjic, Sami Khedira, Mathew Leckie and Luca Netz.

There were bookings for Konstantinos Mavropanos and Atakan Karazor from Stuttgart and Krzysztof Piatek and Peter Pekarik for Hertha Berlin.

Stuttgart will next travel to Cologne, while Hertha Berlin will face RB Leipzig at home.
