Hoffenheim 4-2 Schalke: Hoffenheim beat Schalke 4-2 at the Pre Zero Arena

Hoffenheim defeat Schalke 4-2 on Saturday at the Pre Zero Arena. Hoffenheim were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against SC Freiburg. Schalke had lost their previous match against Arminia Bielefeld. As things stand, Hoffenheim are in 11th place on the table and has 39 points while Schalke sit in 18th with 13 points after 32 matches.

The Royal Blues dominated the first half, with a goal from Mark Uth, 12 minutes in. The momentum was now with Schalke, who then scored again through a goal from Shkodran Mustafi at the 42 minute mark to establish a 2-0. However, From Kraichgau region pull-back just before half-time, with a goal from Andrej Kramaric. The first half ended 1-2.

Hoffenheim started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to Kevin Akpoguma finding the net at the 52 minute mark. Hoffenheim looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Christoph Baumgartner, on 60 minutes to establish a 3-2. They then extended the lead with a goal from Ihlas Bebou at the 64 minute mark to make it 4-2.

For Hoffenheim, Sargis Adamyan, Sebastian Rudy, Maximilian Beier and Mijat Gacinovic, came on for Robert Skov, Diadie Samassekou, Ihlas Bebou and Christoph Baumgartner. Schalke replaced Suat Serdar, Alessandro Schopf, Amine Harit, Mark Uth and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for Can Bozdogan, Steven Skrzybski, Jimmy Kaparos, Munir Levent Mercan and Matthew Hoppe.

There were bookings for Sargis Adamyan from Hoffenheim. For Schalke, Suat Serdar and Mark Uth saw yellow.

Hoffenheim will next play Arminia Bielefeld away, with Schalke facing Eintracht Frankfurt at home.
