Leipzig defeat Hertha Berlin 3-0 on Sunday at The Olympiastadion. Hertha Berlin arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart. RB Leipzig were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Augsburg and Schalke. As the table looks today, Hertha Berlin are in 15th place, with 18 points from 22 matches, while RB Leipzig sit in 2nd, with 47 points from 22.

RB Leipzig started strongly in the first half, with Marcel Sabitzer opening the rout, 28 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0.

RB Leipzig continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, with Nordi Mukiele opening the scoring in the 71st minute. Later, RB Leipzig took the lead with a goal form a goal from Willi Orban in the 84th minute, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For Hertha Berlin, Nemanja Radonjic, Luca Netz, Matteo Guendouzi and Jessic Ngankam came on for Amadou Haidara, Hee-chan Hwang, Dani Olmo, Marcel Halstenberg and Yussuf Poulsen, while Leipzig brought on Nordi Mukiele, Christopher Nkunku, Justin Kluivert, Ibrahima Konate and Alexander Sorloth to replace Amadou Haidara, Hee-chan Hwang, Dani Olmo, Marcel Halstenberg and Yussuf Poulsen.

There were bookings for Matheus Cunha from Hertha Berlin and Marcel Sabitzer for Leipzig.

Hertha Berlin will next travel to Wolfsburg, while RB Leipzig will face Borussia Mönchengladbach at home.
