Sunday’s fixture between Bochum and Stuttgart delivered a goalless draw at Vonovia Ruhrstadion. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Bochum were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Bayern Munich. Stuttgart were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against Bayer Leverkusen. As things stand, Bochum and Stuttgart currently occupy 17th and 13th spots in the table, with 4 points and 5 points respectively after 6 matches.

For Bochum, Takuma Asano, Robert Tesche, Kostas Stafylidis and Danny Blum, came on for Christopher Antwi-Adjej, Eduard Lowen, Anthony Losilla and Gerrit Holtmann. Stuttgart replaced Mateo Klimowicz, Hamadi Al Ghaddioui, Tanguy Coulibaly, Orel Mangala and Konstantinos Mavropanos for Chris Fuhrich, Erik Thommy, Roberto Massimo, Daniel Didavi and Marc Kempf.

There were bookings for Armel Bella-Kotchap and Erhan Masovic from Bochum. For Stuttgart, Borna Sosa, Mateo Klimowicz, Hamadi Al Ghaddioui, Wataru Endo and Tanguy Coulibaly saw yellow.

Bochum will next play RB Leipzig away, with Stuttgart facing Hoffenheim at home.
