BSC beats Bochum 3-1 on Sunday at Vonovia Ruhrstadion. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Bochum were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to FC Köln in their last match. Hertha, on the other hand, had lost their previous match against Bayern Munich. As the table looks today, both teams are on 3 points and occupy 13th and 15th places respectively after 4 matches.

Hertha started the first half well, thanks to Suat Serdar finding the net at the 37 minute mark. Hertha then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a 2nd effort from Suat Serdar just before half-time, finalising the first half 0-2.

Bochum took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Simon Zoller in the 59th minute. The Old Lady in turn, then responded in the 78th minute increasing their lead with an effort from Myziane Maolida so at full time it was 3-1 to Hertha.

For Bochum, Robert Tesche, Saulo Decarli, Christopher Antwi-Adjej and Herbert Bockhorn, came on for Anthony Losilla, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Gerrit Holtmann and Kostas Stafylidis. Hertha brought on Deyovaisio Zeefuik, Linus Jasper Gechter, Maximilian Mittelstadt, Myziane Maolida and Kevin-Prince Boateng for Lukas Klunter, Dennis Jastrzembski, Jordan Torunarigha, Marco Richter and Ishak Belfodil.
