Bayern 7 – Bochum 0: The Reds secure all 3 points at Football Arena Munich

Bayern enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Bochum at Football Arena Munich on Saturday. Bayern were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the RB Leipzig away (4-1), the other to BSC at home (5-0). Bochum lost 3-1 in the last match they played against BSC. Following today’s result, Bayern and Bochum currently occupy 1st and 17th spots in the table, with 13 points and 3 points respectively after 5 matches.

Bayern didn’t take long to start the rout, with Leroy Sane opening the rout, 17 minutes in. The momentum was now with The Reds, who then scored again through a goal from Joshua Kimmich at the 27 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Bayern looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Serge Gnabry, 32 minutes in to establish a 3-0. The Reds then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a calamitous own goal from Vasilis Lampropoulos just before half-time, finishing the first half 4-0.

Bayern continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Robert Lewandowski at the 61 minute mark. The momentum was now with Bayern, who then scored again through a second effort from Joshua Kimmich at the 64 minute mark to establish a 6-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made it 7-0 at the 79 minute mark with a final score of 7-0.

For Bayern, Omar Richards, Marcel Sabitzer, Bouna Sarr, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Nianzou Tanguy Kouassi, came on for Alphonso Davies, Leroy Sane, Josip Stanisic, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich. Bochum brought on Eduard Lowen, Herbert Bockhorn, Silvere Ganvoula and Christopher Antwi-Adjej, to replace Elvis Rexhbecaj, Kostas Stafylidis, Sebastian Polter and Milos Pantovic.

There were bookings for Josip Stanisic from Bayern. For Bochum, Kostas Stafylidis saw yellow.

Bayern will next travel to Greuther Fürth, while Bochum will face Stuttgart at home.
