Brentford’s 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday, was hard fought at Brentford Community Stadium. Both sides arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Brentford started the first half well, with Bryan Mbeumo opening the rout, 23 minutes in, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Brentford continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Saman Ghoddos in the 74th minute. Later, Brentford scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Mads Bech Sorensen in the 83rd minute. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 3-0.

For Brentford, Ivan Toney, Joshua Da Silva, Emiliano Marcondes, Jan Zamburek and Mads Roerslev Rasmussen came on for Adam Reach, Elias Kachunga, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Sam Hutchinson, while Sheffield Wednesday replaced Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Callum Paterson, Isaiah Brown and Joey Pelupessy with Adam Reach, Elias Kachunga, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Sam Hutchinson.
