Bournemouth were defeated at home by Cardiff at Vitality Stadium on Wednesday. Bournemouth were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 2-1 to Queens Park Rangers while Cardiff City were coming from consecutive wins against Preston North End and Luton Town. After today’s result, both teams are on 49 points and sit in 7th and 6th places respectively after 32 matches.

Cardiff City started the game well, with a goal from Sean Morrison, 28 minutes in. Later, Cardiff City took the lead with a goal form a goal from Kieffer Moore, 37 minutes in, thereby seeing the first half to a 2-0.

Bournemouth took the initiative in the second half, beginning with Shane Long opening the scoring in the 67th minute, sealing a resounding 2-1 victory for the away side.

For Bournemouth, Arnaut Danjuma and Shane Long came on for Josh Murphy and Harry Wilson, while Cardiff brought on Sheyi Ojo and Leandro Bacuna to replace Josh Murphy and Harry Wilson.

There were bookings for Philip Billing, Steve Cook and Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth and Curtis Nelson, Perry Ng, Kieffer Moore and Aden Flint for Cardiff.

Bournemouth will next play Watford at home, with Cardiff City facing Middlesbrough away.
