Barnsley enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Millwall at Oakwell Ground on Saturday. Barnsley were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Stoke City at home (2-0), the other to Bristol City away (1-0). Millwall are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Barnsley and Millwall currently occupy 7th and 12th spots in the table, with 51 points and 43 points respectively after 33 matches.

Barnsley dominated the first half, beginning with early goal from Cauley Woodrow in the 2nd minute. However, their lead didn’t last for long, as an equalizer from a Mason Bennett in minute 6 brought Millwall level, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-1.

Barnsley continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Michal Helik, 59 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-1.
